I began creating a design idea using the sea weathered shell ends that form into beautiful little beads.
Everyday I collect a few more, somedays the sea doesn’t give me any but still I search for these rare little gems.
I carved replica pieces to fit between the shells jewels, as shiny slivers of silver.
The tactile nature of these pieces makes my heart sing.
The necklaces are limited editions. Each piece including the earrings is unique. I thread every piece choosing just the right shell to nestle with another. It is a joy to do this, all the while watching the ocean in front of me moving as the beautiful beast it is.
I’m truly channeling my inner mermaid now. Jewels from the sea.
